Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccine Notice
Workplaces across Portland, the United States and the world are making tough decisions about how to protect their employees and community from COVID-19. Neighborhood House also finds ourselves in the middle of this complex situation. We are committed to ensuring the health and safety for our employees and our community. As a part of this commitment, all Neighborhood House employees are required to be fully vaccinated, effective October 18, 2021. Proof of full vaccination, or documentation of plans to become fully vaccinated (e.g., partially vaccinated however too soon for second dose, etc.) will be required prior to being hired by Neighborhood House. The required vaccination is a minimum qualification requirement to be hired by Neighborhood House. We understand that some are unable to be vaccinated for a variety of reasons, including medical and religious/spiritual reasons. Should you be offered employment with Neighborhood House, there is an exception process that you may request, which may result in the granting of a reasonable accommodation based on either qualified medical condition, or religions/spiritual reason. Exemptions are not guarantied, and are considered on a case by case basis.

Our team is united by a single passion–bringing neighbors together. Every day, we work to end poverty, inequity and social isolation. We create connections and help people from diverse backgrounds access the resources they need to build more self-determined lives.
We know that our work is essential! We see children learning and thriving in our education and child care programs, people benefitting from healthy food and stable housing, and older adults living more independently. That’s why we are motivated to go above and beyond every day.
