Donate Now and Change Your Community
For over 8,000 low-income children, families, and seniors across the greater Portland metropolitan area, Neighborhood House delivers innovative, life-changing programs that allow them to overcome serious challenges and lead self-sufficient lives.
While Neighborhood House receives funding from public sources, every year we must raise approximately $1 million to sustain our programs. Whether through a one-time gift or ongoing donations, you can make the difference in the life of someone in your community.
It’s the perfect time to give!
There are some exciting incentives to give to Neighborhood House this year, including:
- For the second year, the Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund (MCMF) is matching gifts from these generous donors: (1) first-time donors of $1,000+ and (2) existing major donors who increase their giving by $1,000+.For more information on how you can increase your impact this year, email us!
- The CARES Act is incentivizing giving through a temporary universal charitable deduction, suspending the 60 percent adjusted gross income limitation for individuals’ charitable contributions for the year 2020, and waiving the required minimum distributions from retirement plans. Click here for more details.
- Many have also enjoyed strong returns in the stock market this year. Another great reason to give at this time! Contact our Development Director Mari Yerger here for information on making donations of stock.
The Partnership Campaign is underway!
We aim to raise $400,000 by January 31 to support our essential programs in the coming year. Will you help yor neighbors live safer, healthier, and more equitable lives?
Here’s the impact your donation can have:
$10 donation to Neighborhood House buys one first-aid kit for an at-home childcare provider through our Child Care Improvement Project.
$20 provides 80 pounds of food for a hungry family.
$50 pays for one week of healthy, organic food for 10 children to promote mindful eating.
$100 covers moving costs and rental applications for a family transitioning to permanent housing.
$250 provides 30 rides to medical appointments for seniors in need.
Your generous gift enables Neighborhood House to continue empowering neighbors to overcome their daily challenges.
