FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Want to reserve a table for you and your friends?

You can reserve a table of 10 seats for $750 to ensure you and your group will be seated together. Just select the “Reserve Table” when checking out.

Will there be food and drinks?

Yes, we will have plenty of delicious food that’ll cater to omnivores, VG, V, GF diets — as well as wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages — come hungry! Cocktails, liquor, and additional drinks are available for purchase.

Is there a dress code?

Come as you are and wear whatever is comfortable for you. If it’s helpful, staff and volunteers will be wearing business casual.

Will we be seated at a table?

Yes, this year’s event will be table seating just like last year.

Is there an auction?

No auctions. Instead, Welcome Home staff will lead us through an hour long program where we’ll celebrate our program successes and an exciting paddle raise where you can donate funds that are 100% tax deductible.

What about raffles?

Absolutely! This year we’re planning exciting new prizes in the Welcome Home raffle. Stay tuned for the prize reveal, coming soon.

Where do I park?

The Sentinel Hotel does not offer onsite parking. However, we are offering free parking vouchers to the SmartPark garage at SW 10th and Yamhill. If you prefer, there is metered parking on the street, and paid parking at 1020 SW Alder St Portland.

Can I bring my kids or grandkids?

While this is a time to celebrate and support the families we serve at Neighborhood House, we ask that this event remain adults only.

Is my ticket tax deductible?

Neighborhood House is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Each Welcome Home admission is tax-deductible for $50, as the IRS considers the $25 value of food and beverages received. Any donations beyond the cost of your ticket(s) will be tax-deductible. Please note that raffle ticket purchases are not tax-deductible.
