A Delicious New Partnership

If it starts to smell like freshly baked bread at the Neighborhood House Food Pantry, that’s because we’re partnering with Community Loaves to deliver nutritious, homemade loaves to our community members!

Community Loaves is a grassroots bread brigade, baking and delivering handcrafted Honey Oat Sandwich Loaves in support of local food pantries and communities. Community Loaves volunteers are passionate about bread baking and united in a mission to provide delicious, nutritious, freshly baked bread to people experiencing food insecurity, through food pantries across the Pacific Northwest. Community Loaves has donated over 40,000 loaves to over two dozen food pantries, including Neighborhood House!
Want to bake for a cause? Community Loaves volunteers are bread bakers of all skill levels, from absolute beginners to experienced dough handlers. Armed with several bread formulas, the baking brigade volunteers bake and package honey oat sandwich loaves for donation. They even have roles for folks who would prefer not to bake. You can join them for an upcoming Community Loaves virtual information session to help expand their work of supplying local food pantries and communities like ours with nutritious, freshly baked bread.
