Bringing Food Directly to Our Neighbors
With increased I.C.E. enforcement, our move to Barbur Boulevard, and a rise in food insecurity, many neighbors are facing new hardships. Some families are afraid to travel or gather in public spaces. Others are struggling just to get by.
In response, we expanded our Food Box Delivery program. By bringing food directly to people’s doors, we help remove barriers, reduce fear, and make sure families can still access healthy meals without added stress. This allows us to reach neighbors who may not feel safe or able to visit the Free Food Market in person.
The impact has been powerful.. In January alone, we nearly tripled the number of food boxes delivered and picked up. We’re making sure our neighbors continue to receive the food they need and deserve.
No matter the challenges, we are committed to serving our community with care and dignity. As we settle into our new Barbur location and grow our Food Security programs, we will keep you informed with more updates. Stay tuned!
