Getting Ready to Open our New Facility

We’re putting the final touches on our new home on Barbur Blvd, and it’s all starting to feel real. This space will bring together our Free Food Market, Senior Center, shared community areas, and Neighborhood House’s headquarters. All under one roof! This will be extremely beneficial for us to better serve our community

The new Free Food Market is especially exciting. It will be three to four times larger than our current space, with more food options and a more comfortable, dignified shopping experience. Neighbors will be able to wait indoors, and personal shoppers will be available for those who need extra support.

The Center 55+  is also getting a big upgrade, with more room to gather, learn, and connect. The new space includes brand-new classrooms for activities like tai chi, yoga, mahjong, line dancing, and many of the programs seniors already love. It was designed to feel welcoming, bright, and easy to enjoy, with plenty of room to connect and stay active.

It’s important to us that all program particapants feel accepted, supported, and excited to keep coming back.

Having everyone together in one place gives us the chance to work more closely, support one another better, and serve our community in new ways. Bigger and better things are ahead, and we can’t wait to open our doors soon!
