Scattered Gardens Program Kicks Off for the Summer with Seasons & Regions

Wondering what to do with all that extra garden space you have in your backyard? Get involved in our Scattered Gardens Program!

We are partnering with Seasons & Regions Restaurant and other community partners to provide our neighbors with free plant starts. All you have to do is grow the produce and then you can donate it back to the Neighborhood House Food Pantry!

Seasons & Regions Chef Greg Schwab appeared on KOIN News AM Extra last month to promote this fruitful partnership (pun intended!). Seasons & Regions are generously providing plant starts – primarily delicious tomatoes – to folks who want to get growing for Neighborhood House.

Garden Manager Dan Simchuk said of the program, “Scattered Gardens are a great way to maximize the fresh produce we can provide to our neighbors at the Food Pantry. It is essential that the people we serve receive nutritious food that they will really enjoy.”
