It was another summer of fun and learning during the School Age program’s Summer Camp. The program featured a new theme each week where students in grades K-5 learned about nature, animals, culture, history, science, and much more.
Each week featured fun field trips to local parks and museums, such as the Oregon History Society and the Oregon Zoo. During Time Travel week, a fossil expert brought various artifacts for students to interact with. Week four’s theme was Superheroes where students were able to meet some of Portland’s local heroes, the Portland Fire and Rescue.
The final week brought the program to a fun close with a trip to the pool, where students could cool off and enjoy the summer sun, leaving long lasting memories that would make any parent jealous.
