Donate Now and Change Your Community

For over 18,000 low-income children, families, and seniors across the greater Portland metropolitan area, Neighborhood House delivers innovative, life-changing programs that allow them to overcome serious challenges and lead self-sufficient lives.

While Neighborhood House receives funding from public sources, every year we must raise approximately $1 million to sustain our programs. Whether through a one-time gift or ongoing donations, you can make the difference in the life of someone in your community.

Here’s the impact your donation can have:

$10 donation to Neighborhood House buys one first-aid kit for an at-home childcare provider through our Child Care Improvement Project.

$20 provides 80 pounds of food for a hungry family.

$50 pays for one week of healthy, organic food for 10 children to promote mindful eating.

$100 covers moving costs and rental applications for a family transitioning to permanent housing.

$250 provides 30 rides to medical appointments for seniors in need.

Your generous gift enables Neighborhood House to continue empowering neighbors to overcome their daily challenges.

Neighborhood House accepts donations of gently used clothing items for sale in our Senior Center Resale shop, which raises critically needed funds for our senior programs. We also welcome donations of new clothing for our program users during our annual Winter Wishes campaign. If you have clothing you wish to be distributed directly to people needing assistance, please consider donating to William Temple House, one of our preferred community partners.
